"By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being.  So nobody has a good excuse."

            Romans 1:20 - The Message

Connecting with Creation

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. -Psalm 19: 1-4 (NIV)

Nature is beautiful, and to connect and commune with Creation is to connect and commune with the God who created it.  People are driven to the wilderness, and we often feel much more at home in the wild than in our increasingly urbanized and technology-driven society.  We go there to be reminded of the power and beauty that nature holds, to re-charge and re-prioritize.

Nearly every week, we retreat to the wilderness to connect with Creation.  The Pacific Northwest offers thousands of opportunities to experience nature, the raw and awe-inspiring work of God.  These opportunities remind us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, a glorious addition to Creation.
